If you’ve read a women’s book or magazine, you would know that a lot\nof ladies complain about their husbands for not<\/em> listening to them in\ntheir daily life. Some ladies even write to columnists from the newspaper to\nask for relationship advice. I personally received many emails about how to\nmake their husbands listen to them in their marriages. You may wonder why this\nis happening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, the reason is quite simple – your wife from Ukraine wants to know that you care<\/em><\/strong>. When you aren’t even listening to her, she doesn’t feel appreciated by you. Note that ladies are validated by male attention<\/a>, so she needs to feel sufficient attention<\/em> from you in this relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I understand that you certainly don’t want your wife to nag you\nevery single day; therefore, you should marry a\nUkrainian bride who is well-educated and doesn’t nag in the first place.\nIn this way, you are able to manage a sustainable and healthy marriage from the\nstart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategy 1: Echoing.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an effective strategy which is commonly used in Neuro-Linguistic\nProgramming (NLP), echoing is a powerful technique that you can use to\nfacilitate effective communication in your marriage. Here’s an example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR WIFE<\/strong>: “I’m stressed out today.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOU<\/strong>: “Oh, you’re stressed out.<\/em>\nTell me what happened.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR WIFE<\/strong>: “My supervisor was angry just\nbecause I didn’t remember to update his work diary before 8:30am this morning.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOU<\/strong>: “He was angry<\/em>? Is\nthat serious?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUR WIFE<\/strong>: “He becomes angry quite\nfrequently. I don’t know why he is so mad all the time. Perhaps he is jealous\nof my skills and capabilities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOU<\/strong>: “He is jealous<\/em>? Maybe\nthat’s because you are very capable, more capable than him and he feels\nthreatened by you?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From this example, it can be seen that you begin every sentence by\nrepeating an element from what your Ukrainian wife says.\nTherefore, she feels that you have understood her immediately. This is a good\ntechnique that you may use so as to be an active listener in your marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategy 2: Let your Ukrainian bride talk\nto you and understand what she’s actually saying; avoid giving her solutions\nwhen she isn’t<\/strong> asking for a solution.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Women are very different from men in various ways. In human\ncommunication, men usually think of solutions fast when they hear an issue.\nHowever, usually, women just want to discuss issues so as to connect<\/strong>\nwith other people. Consequently, if you only give a solution when your wife\ntells you about a problem, that’s not effective communication, as\noftentimes she only wants you to listen and understand her. Your job is to give\nyour Ukrainian bride emotional support and be\nthere for her when she feels sad or upset rather than offering a dry solution\nto an issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having said that, you may provide your Ukrainian\nlady with a solution towards the end of the discussion. Yet you have to connect<\/em>\nwith her in the first place, okay?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never neglect your bride from Ukraine.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I know this sounds so obvious (even sounds like a cliché).\nNevertheless, a lot of men just can’t do it. Some men literally neglect their\nwives and assume it’s fine. I remember many years ago I interviewed a woman who\ntold me that her husband always walked very quickly but she walked slowly. As a\nconsequence, every time they went out for a walk, her husband was walking in\nfront of her every single time<\/em>. Sometimes he was walking 20 meters<\/strong>\nahead…then 2 miles<\/strong> ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This lady said, “I said to myself at that time: ‘If we can get\ndivorced now, I would sign the divorce document immediately<\/em>’ – I felt neglected<\/strong>\nby that guy and I was so lonely<\/strong> in that marriage.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two years later when I met this woman again, she told me that her\ndivorce was finalized already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, this sounds like something small<\/em>, but it indicates\nsomething big<\/em> – her ex-husband didn’t really care on many levels (at\nleast his actions showed her that intention very clearly).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
