In this statement, you’ve used “I” and “we”. An “I-statement” always begins with “When you do X” because now the focus is not on her as a person; the focus is on her behavior – it’s important to separate the person from their behavior so that they wouldn’t feel offended or take things personally. Also, when you use “we”, “us” and “our”, she feels that she is a part of your blueprint. Remember: women want to be a part of something ?

If your “I-statement” doesn’t change her behavior, you have to drop the affection.

By that I mean if your Ukrainian lady still keeps in touch with her ex and that annoys you, it’s paramount that you don’t show her the same level of affection as before so that she can learn the lesson.

If she wanders back over to you after more communication with her ex and expects the same level of attention as before, you must deny her it. Full stop.

That being said, you don’t do that in a childish way, of course. Yet if she comes over and wants to be affectionate with you suddenly, you merely say, “Sorry, I don’t want a kiss from you because I find it such a turn-off when you behave in that way.”
